Meet The Author

Boaz Fischer is Australia’s trusted authority on insider risk management. Simply put, he helps businesses solve the problems of trusted insiders before they become a risk to the organisation.

Although organisations are proficient at safeguarding their technology and systems, human behaviour is unpredictable and difficult to manage, which is why it continues to be such a crucial factor in risk management. Intentional fraud, theft of sensitive information, lapses in judgment, or disregard for safety protocols are just a few of the grievous repercussions that can result from an employee’s misconduct.

As a cyber security professional who consults with the Australian government and other enterprises, Boaz knows that insider threats are the elephant in the room. Experts typically prefer not to discuss this topic because organisations do not want to entertain the possibility that trusted employees may be intentionally or unintentionally causing damage. This degree of ignorance is not restricted to ordinary businesses either. Tech titans, critical infrastructure organisations and government agencies are pitifully naïve when it comes to insider threats.

This book, Behind Enemy Lines, Tales of Insider Threat, Corporate Greed, Espionage and Just Bloody Stupid Behaviour, is Boaz’s seventh publication on cybersecurity and insider threats. He provides important insights into understanding the vulnerabilities in human behaviour within organisations that were exposed by individuals whose actions caused substantial damage to the organisation and themselves.
