FBI Deletes Chinese PlugX Malware From Thousands Of US Computers


The FBI has successfully deleted PlugX malware, controlled by the Chinese state-sponsored group Mustang Panda (or Twill Typhoon), from over 4,200 computers across the U.S.


The move came after suspicion that cybercriminals groups under control of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) used a version of PlugX malware to control, and steal information from victims’ computers.
